STA (Special Transport Assistance)
We operate as STA in Denmark, from Gedser to Skagen. Escort driving in Denmark is usually billed at an hourly rate, starting when the vehicle leaves home and ending when it returns. If we hire a subcontractor for the job, the same applies from their location. If we do not handle the trip ourselves, we naturally select a subcontractor located close to the planned route. We are also available for long-term projects.
Varning or VTL (Vägtransportledare)
We operate both as Varning and VTL throughout Sweden. Escort driving in Sweden is charged based on both hourly rate and mileage, but only for the route taken by the cargo. In Sweden, we also have an extensive network to draw on if we are not available for a particular job. In Sweden, the subcontractor’s location is less important, as only the cargo’s route is charged. We are also available for long-term projects.
Route planning and permits
We can assist with route planning and permits. The route planning and the permits subsequently applied for from the authorities take into account bridges that cannot support heavy transports or that high transports cannot pass under, as well as accessibility restrictions for wide or long transports.
Surveying
We measure distances, intersections, curves, clearance under bridges and power lines, and anything else necessary to assess the challenges involved in transporting high, wide, and long loads. This may be to check whether a transport can pass through an intersection or to determine how an intersection may need to be modified to allow the transport to proceed.
